I am interested in the Native American site, however it said it would change my net address if I become a member by giving my e-mail address & password. I don't want to mess up my e-mail. I read all the instructions but am confused. You would have to do a title search at the county court house or paid a title search firm to do it for you.. Might try title search Montgomery Co MD as an entry in search engine on the web.. some of the the latter data in re tax records is on-line I believe for a few counties., but maybe not that far back. You would have to probably go to the county court in Rockville. Montgomery Co., to find the records. Yup it is on line I think Go to the following Web site: http://sdatcert3.resiusa.org/rp_rewrite/ here is the data I got on that address: but that says this house was built in 1979.....and in Silver Spring not Rockville.. There are Glen Road, Glen Avenue, Glen street etc...

Unless my memory is wrong there was a Replogle family in East Brady PA Clarion County in the 1940's when I was growing up. If not there it was New Castle, Pa Lawrence CO. I moved there in 1943. To me it was an unusual name. I guess that is why I remembered it. He was a music teacher I believe. Oleans District CEMETERIES. I have made a CD of the results of work I have completed myself from visiting the local cemeteries where I live. The CDs are then made on my computer. The area for this CD comprises the Orleans District of Allegany County, Maryland. I have taken large photographs of every stone in each cemetery, included obituaries and some census information, and incorporated all of it into a Web based format. I have it on my Web site and you can take a look and see what you think. There are a couple small photos of two of the stones at the bottom of the page to show how they look. Although these are quite small, they are still readable. www.dustisden.com/kin2kin/cdsales/maryland_genealogy_orleans.html I have already started another one for the Flintstone District and plan to make several from Allegany and Washington counties in Maryland; Fulton, Franklin, and Bedford counties in Pennsylvania; and also from Morgan, Hampshire and other areas surrounding my location. As a partial explanation, my children and a sister all married local people and I began doing genealogy research in seeing how they were all related. I now have a database of more than 120,000 people between my LYNCH and LEWELLINGs in Tennessee and the extended or collateral families of their spouses in this area. Dear Ellen, I would be very pleased to have anything you could send me. My problem is that my James Hall B.182 in Maryland has become a very solid brick wall. With so many James and Halls I haven't been able to trace him back. No Marriage records exist and I have not been able to locate anything pointing to his parents but members of this Hall family; James and Harrison mostly keep popping up in the same areas at the same time as my James so I have resorted to looking for a connection thinking perhaps "MY" James is a nephew or son of a member of this family. I have just started digging into this so anything you can supply would be helpful and I am going to try and find the books you mentioned as well as a few others written by members of this literary family. Rodney, I have some information on this family from several sources. I haven't verified any of this but they're both pretty good sources and have a lot of information on this family back to the 1600s. John Hall's father was Col. Elihu Hall who married Elizabeth Harrison in 1722 and then Catherine Orrick 16 June 1757. His grandfather was Elihew Hall who had land on the Susquehanna River. 1) George Johnston's History of Cecil County (Elkton: Published by author, 1881.), page 481, MD 975.238 J. The Hall Family. 2) Maryland Genealogies A Consolidation of Articles from the Maryland Historical Magazine Volume I (Baltimore: Genealogical Publishing Co., Inc., 1980.). John Hall married Sarah Ewing in 1782. John and Sarah (Ewing) Hall were the parents of eleven children, four of whom were distinguished for great literary ability. Sarah Ewing Hall was one of the most gifted, accomplished and versatile writers of her day and seems to have inherited and transmitted to her children much of her genius and intellectuality of her distinguished father. Her book, "Conversations on the Bible," was quite popular. The children listed are: Harrison Hall - Author of a work on distillation and for many years the proprietor and publisher of the "Portfolio", a periodical of much celebrity in Philadelphia, where it was published, and elsewhere. James Hall - Studied law early in life and afterwards distinguished himself in the battle of Lundy's Lane and other battles on the Canadian frontier, in the war of 1812. He subsequently moved to Illinois, and settled at Shawanese town, became judge of the circuit court, and was State treasurer for four years. He was a voluminous writer, and the author of eleven works on the western country. John E. Hall - Was admitted to the bar in Baltimore in 1805. He was a distinguished author, and for a time was editor of the Portfolio. Thomas Mifflin Hall - Published a number of poetical and scientific contributions in the Portfolio. He studied medicine and while on his way to embark in the service of one of the South American states, was lost at sea. I can send you what I have which is straight from the titles above but please only use my info as a guide. If you don't already have this information there is quite a bit! You can probably obtain these titles through Interlibrary loan at your local library but I'll be glad to help if I can. I am seeking information in John Hall and Sarah Ewing Hall. They lived in Cecil County on the Susquehana River 1800-1830ish I am trying to determine their childrens names as I believe my James H. Hall may be their grandchild. Right now I only know of 2 children out of 11. the two I know are James Hall b. 1793 and Harrison Hall. Harrison was buried in Cincinnati Ohio and James moved to Cincinnati from Illinois in 1833. My James was born in Maryland in 1812 and married in Cincinnati in 1834. I am thinking that he moved there to be with his Uncle James or perhaps another relative not yet discovered. I have a short bio of James b. 1893 and his mother Sarah Ewing Hall stating she had 11 children 5 of which died before her. Any hints would be helpful. There is a groom index in the late 1800s. I do not know of one for the time period you are interested in. Original Marriage license applications for 1886-1935 are at the Maryland State Archives for Baltimore City. (Note the COUNTY and CITY of Baltimore are entirely separate sets of records)... There is no index. If the marriage was Catholic, contact the Church archives. If Protestant, search the LDS site.
