I APPRECIATE THAT COMMENT--ALICE
Thank you for the info.....until very recently I only had information on the BUCY family back to my greatgreatgrandfather, George W. Bucy. I'm still sorting out where he fits in the BUCY family as printed out by you. Do you have a link to him? He was born in 1830 in North Carolina, married MARY JANE TUCKER, b. 1834 in North Carolina. Sometime before 1862, they moved to Kentucky where my greatgrandmother, Louisa Amanda Bucy, was born in Calloway County. The family story is that she was born during the battle of Fort Donelson while bullets were hitting the house and that, at the end of the battle, they couldn't even remember which day she was born on. Small wonder. Thanks for any assistance yo can give. Pat Kramer

There are hundreds of each in this country. It has been suggested that these two families were related back in England and that they were also related to the Bucy variation. As far as I know none of this has been absolutely confirmed. If we accept the Bucy lineage, arguments can be made tracing the name back to 1066 and the Norman Conquest. There are indeed Bucy's mentioned in the Doomsday Book. There have been several researches done and articles written about Paul Busey and his descendants. Paul arrived in Maryland in 1651 as an indentured servant to his step-father, Henry Cox. I have been to Maryland and obtained copies of their original land grants dated 5 January 1651 and later. Two well documented sources of information are: "The Bussey (Busey) Families of Maryland" by Donald L. Wilson that appeared in the Prince George's County Genealogical Society Bulletin beginning in April, 1979. "Ancestry and Descendants of Mathew Busey of Maryland, North Carolina, and Kentucky" compiled by Mrs. Eva Murrell Harmison and Miss Emma M Rose that appeared in the Detroit Society for Genealogical Research beginning in Fall 1957. Mrs. Harmison was on the editorial staff at the time. We should keep in mind that these emigrants were planters with limited education so spelling errors and clerical modifications may have easily occurred. Not every aspect of their lives were recorded, however land records and wills were very important to them and constitute some of the more reliable sources of family information. Hugh W. Busey 7th Great Grandson of Paul Busey

Again, please be a little more tolerant of each other. The person made a mistake, just as each and every one of us do. Why, when a mistake is made do we all have to get nasty towards that person? I'm really trying--My computer just went Nutty and started sending repeated messages when there was no message to send and I couldn't seem to stop it . It apparently has upset some people. I am embarrassed--it was an innocent computer problem andI hope corrected by now.
Sorry, my computer occasionally decides to send repeated "sentmail" messages for no reason that I can figure out-and I can't stop it when this happens-hope it hasn't caused too much of a problem. Alice

I have significant amount of information on the following of my Maryland ancestors, however, I am always interested in finding out more about their descendants and ancestors and willing to compare notes/expand current tree of 10K plus: - Robert Brooke (1602-1655) - Capt James Neale (1615-1683) - William Boarman (1630-1708) - Michael Taney (c.1632-1692) - Joshua Doyne (c.1647-1698) - Ignatius Craycroft (1665-1707) I have little info on ther following early (late 1600/early 1700) Maryland ancestors, and could use almost any help: - Francis Hutchins and his wife Elizabeth Burrage of Calvert Co. their siblings, ancestors, etc. - Thomas Turner & Elizabeth Gilbert (parents of Monica Turner wife of William Boarman). - parents of Elizabeth Lord, who married James Neale, Jr. (I have a Capt John Lord, but have little information on him or his wife). - parents of Jane Mathews who married Joshua Doyne (I have Thomas Mathews and Jane Cockshutt, again I have very little on this couple) I have quite a few Mathews & Matthews in my files that I don't have tied to a central family). Thanks, Jim Holt
Alice - that sounds like it might be a virus - called "Klez". Klez disables your anti-virus protection, and replicates variants, and attacks your email program. You need an outside program. Klez will also send out bogus emails to people on your address book list, and send multiple emails. Another thing it does is send you emails with "From:" names like Jiffy, or names you recognize with maybe an extra letter or two added (like "mcccroby" instead of "mccroby") and "Subjects:" like "Honey", "What til you see this", "Can hardly wait", etc. I would really try to run this utility. Follow the directions on the page. Try running this from the Norton site: http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.klez.removal tool.html -------Original Message------- From: MDGEN-L@rootsweb.com Date: Sunday, February 23, 2003 17:57:40 To: MDGEN-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [MDGEN] Roll Call Sorry, my computer occasionally decides to send repeated "sentmail" messages for no reason that I can figure out-and I can't stop it when this happens-hope it hasn't caused too much of a problem.
