    3. Dottie, I know that there are several spellings of the name, and to tell you the truth, I have not done much research at all on this name, as it is likely that it possibly is the birth family...and I didn't know if I would find anything that I could trace to my ancestors...but, I will check out this site that you suggested! Thanks! Olivet, as are several children. He is buried in Loudon Park. I am looking for 2 of their 9 children, the first baby, probably born no later than March 1894, and the 4th baby, around 1897. Also looking for their church affiliation; they lived in the Druid Hill park area during the time many of the babies were born. Also looking for information on Charles' brothers, William and Frank, and immigration for the entire family. I believe Charles' father was William Thomas Young, and mother was M. Simpson. Need further information on both of them. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. Rose

    1. [MDGEN] Reading the whole subject line
    2. Bonnie McCroby Wuensche
    3. Hi - You wrote that you can't read the whole subject line - there is a feature that will show it to you, and let you read the mail without opening the letter. The way my e-mail program works is I can set it for a "preview pane" - what that means, is it has an open window at the bottom where I can read the message once it is selected. There are 2 ways to set this that I know of. One is that at the bottom of the screen that shows your "In" box, you may see a bar with a small up arrow (triangle). Click and hold your right mouse button on the arrow, and drag up up the page. A new window opens which shows the text of the current message in the "In" folder. It sure saves a lot of time opening and closing each message. The other way is to set it from the tools or preferences menu. I use Incredimail, but I can also do this in Outlook. Incredimail has a free download at http://www.incredimail.com Bon -------Original Message------- From: MDGEN-L@rootsweb.com Date: Monday, February 24, 2003 20:52:11 To: MDGEN-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [MDGEN] BROOKE, CARROLL, HILL, ARNOLD, FERGUSON, EARLY, PADGETT mainly PG Co. 1600s to 1800s Hi....I can't read all your names in the subject line. 3. Hello, We are looking for an immigration date for Louis FEINDT (1844-1892). He came to Baltimore from Hanover, Germany between 1862 and 1872. I have checked the Baltimore arrivals on the ISTG and did not locate him in those transcribed lists. He is in the 1880 census on the Family Search site and the 1890 Baltimore City Directory in Ancestry. Can anyone help with a lookup in Germans to America or the Baltimore 1851-1872 Passenger and Immigration Lists, Family Tree Maker CD Rom 260? Thank you very much, Peggy

    2. Ann Chandler
    3. I am searching for the above, as well as other family names in Maryland, beginning in Colonial days, when Robert Brooke, the immigrant came over from England. Some of my brick walls are as follows: 1.What was the maiden name of Margaret, wife of Henry Brooke? Margaret died about 1792. They were parents of Nicholas BROOKE, who married Margaret HILL in 1752. 2. Henry and Margaret Brooke (above) had a son, Clement Hill BROOKE, who married Anne (Nancy) CARROLL in 1817 in Washington, DC. Both Clement Hill and Nancy BROOKE are buried at St. Ignatius Catholic Church Cemetery, in Oxon Hill, Md. There is a stained glass window in that church given in their honor by their 7 children. I have not been able to find Ann Carroll BROOKE's parents, siblings, etc. 3. On another side of the family, am stuck on Josias FERGUSON, who married Margarey Duvall (daughter of Mareen Duvall and Ruth Howard). Josias subscribed to the Patriot's Oath in AA Co., Md. He was still living in Prince Geo. County, Md. in 1805 (approximately.) I have no information on his parents, siblings, death, or marriage date to Margarey. I descend from their son, Enos Duvall FERGUSON, who married Esther Yates SOPER. I would be happy to share information with anyone. Thanks for any help anyone can give me. Ann Chandler in Oregon
