    1. Re: [MDGEN] ROLL CALL....BUCY several counties
    2. Thanks for the info. I'm still trying to figure out the appropriate line to hook to my family. Pat Kramer In a message dated 2/23/03 9:00:51 PM, hbusey@worldnet.att.net writes: << > The Busey family and Bussey's are fairly well documented from 1651 Maryland and beyond. There are hundreds of each in this country. It has been suggested that these two families were related back in England and that they were also related to the Bucy variation. As far as I know none of this has been absolutely confirmed. If we accept the Bucy lineage, arguments can be made tracing the name back to 1066 and the Norman Conquest. There are indeed Bucy's mentioned in the Doomsday Book. There have been several researches done and articles written about Paul Busey and his descendants. Paul arrived in Maryland in 1651 as an indentured servant to his step-father, Henry Cox. I have been to Maryland and obtained copies of their original land grants dated 5 January 1651 and later. Two well documented sources of information are: "The Bussey (Busey) Families of Maryland" by Donald L. Wilson that appeared in the Prince George's County Genealogical Society Bulletin beginning in April, 1979. "Ancestry and Descendants of Mathew Busey of Maryland, North Carolina, and Kentucky" compiled by Mrs. Eva Murrell Harmison and Miss Emma M Rose that appeared in the Detroit Society for Genealogical Research beginning in Fall 1957. Mrs. Harmison was on the editorial staff at the time. We should keep in mind that these emigrants were planters with limited education so spelling errors and clerical modifications may have easily occurred. Not every aspect of their lives were recorded, however land records and wills were very important to them and constitute some of the more reliable sources of family information. Hugh W. Busey 7th Great Grandson of Paul Busey >>

    1. [MDGEN] virus hoax
    2. Jdbgmgr.exe file hoax Reported on: April 12, 2002 Last Updated on: February 12, 2003 08:27:21 PM Symantec Security Response encourages you to ignore any messages regarding this hoax. It is harmless and is intended only to cause unwarranted concern. Type: Hoax This is a hoax that, like the SULFNBK.EXE Warning hoax, tries to persuade you to delete a legitimate Windows file from your computer. Jdbgmgr.exe is the file to which the hoax refers, and it is the Microsoft Debugger Registrar for Java. The Jdbgmgr.exe file may be installed when you install Windows. NOTE: Recent versions of this hoax take advantage of the recent outbreak of the W32.bugbear@mm worm and that the Jdbgmgr.exe file mentioned in the hoax has a bear icon. The actual W32.bugbear@mm worm file is an .exe file and does not have a bear icon. The Windows Jdbgmgr.exe file has a teddy bear icon in the hoax, as illustrated below: CAUTION: A virus can infect Jdbgmgr.exe. The W32.Efortune.31384@mm virus, in particular, targets this file. Norton AntiVirus has provided protection against W32.Efortune.31384@mm since May 11, 2001. NOTE: If you have already deleted the Jdbgmgr.exe file, in most cases, you do not have to re-install it. The following quote is extracted from the Microsoft Knowledge Base article, "Virus Hoax: Microsoft Debugger Registrar for Java (Jdbgmgr.exe) Is Not a Virus (Q322993)." "The Microsoft Debugger Registrar for Java (Jdbgmgr.exe) is only used by Microsoft Visual J++ 1.1 developers. If you follow the e-mail message instructions and delete this file, you do not have to recover it unless you use Microsoft Visual J++ 1.1 to develop Java programs on Windows XP, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows 98, or Windows 95." If you need to restore this file, follow the instructions in "Virus Hoax: Microsoft Debugger Registrar for Java (Jdbgmgr.exe) Is Not a Virus (Q322993)."

    3. Yes this is a Hoax. If you want to read about it, here is a laymen's explanation. http://www.snopes2.com/ Jdbgmgr.exe is actually the MicrosoftR Debugger Registrar for Java. If you have already deleted it, unless you are a Java programmer, you will never miss it and it will not stop your Operating system from Working. To many people have to much time on their hands, I guess. Unfortunately, this e-mail will probably generate more traffic than any virus. -----Original Message----- From: Nancy and Brian [mailto:nnebiker@mchsi.com] Sent: Saturday, March 01, 2003 2:24 PM To: MDGEN-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [MDGEN] Possible Virus A virus has been passed on to me by a contact.
