The 1708, Dorchester Co, MD will of James ANDERSON (wife Rebecca and sons John & James) lists executors: wife and Lawrence CONNER, Test: Hezekiah MARROT; Mark MARROT; Magdalen CONNER. (Mark Marrot was probably md. to Sarah, dau. of Alexander Fisher, Sr.) The 1726 will of Samuel MARET (MARETT), Dorchester Co, names a James ANDERSON as a "cousin." There was a James ANDERSON, mariner, Talbot Co. whose will was written in 1731 and probated in 1733, naming son, Isaac, his executor (leaving Isaac his entire estate.) Was this 'cousin' James Anderson (named above)? A John Marlett (Marriot) md. Hannah Manlove on 5/28/1667, Somerset Co, MD and only 2 children are found for them, one being Magdalena, b: 2/16/1670 at Manakin. Believe she was the Magdalen Conner (above), md. to Lawrence Conner. My question is, did John & Hannah Marriot have other children (Mark, Hezekiah, Samuel and possibly Rebecca Anderson)? Did Hannah die and John remarry? I cannot find anything further on this family. Am hoping someone can help me sort these families out. Thanks. Marsha IL
Henry STAFFORD (SAFFORD), son of Henry who d: 1776, DE, md. Anastasia ADAMS. Their daughter, Sally N. STAFFORD, md. Jesse PAVEY (b: 3/11/1772, prob. Caroline Co, MD) in Bourbon Co, KY, on 6/5/1796. Some of these Staffords were connected to the Nicolites. Isaac PAVEY, b: Apr. 20, 1768 either in Caroline Co, MD or Sussex Co, DE, md. Frances "Frankie" Adams on April 20, 1786. Isaac's birth is documented. We have never been able to document this marriage. Frankie was supposedly only 17 at the time, and may have been the daughter of Thomas Nutter ADAMS and had a brother, Bartholomew ADAMS. Does anyone have any information on these families? Would like to document Frankie's father and family and her marriage to Isaac Pavey. Thanks. Marsha IL
A Bill of Sale (Caroline Co, MD Deeds, Liber D, folio 34) dated 2/8/1792, lists many things sold by John PAVEY to Jacob FAULKNER (FALKNOR.) This was probably done in getting ready for his move to Guilford Co, NC with what was probably the last of the ES Nicolites to go there. John PAVEY's wife was probably (Mary?) ANDERSON (dau. of James & Elizabeth who were Nicolites.) Was Jacob FAULKNER family connected to the Paveys or Andersons? 1790 Caroline Co, MD census shows John PAVEY; Isaac PAVEY. Any help appreciated. Thanks. Marsha IL
On 9/3/1787, Caroline Co, MD Land Records, it shows Samuel PAVEY (of Sussex Co, DE) sells "Levin's Folly" and "Double Purchase" to Isaac PAVEY (no relationship mentioned but Samuel says the land was his by estate of inheritance in fee simple, recorded 11/19/1787, Caroline Co.) I am trying to document Samuel Pavey's wife ... Nancy SMITH. So far, this can only be speculation. Nancy was the dau. of Levin Smith, Jr, wife: Rebecca (JONES?) Levin was b: before 1750, dec'd by 5/29/1782 and he'd left these lands to his wife. Should she remarry (she did), then they would go to his children. Isaac PAVEY is shown on the 1790 Caroline Co, MD census. Thanks. Marsha IL

STOVER - MILLER - MYERS - MARDER - SCHMIDT My g-g-grandfather Ephraim STOVER (May 16,1823 - April 23, 1906) was born out of wedlock to Mahala (Lane, Helena) MILLER (June 25, 1806 - September 5, 1875) of Marion (Franklin County) PA. Mahala was called (Lane) on December 5, 1827, when she married Isaac MYERS ( May 4, 1799 - April 10, 1873) of Hagerstown, Washington County, MD. She is called (Helena) on her tombstone. In 1928, Ephraim, Mahala and Isaac moved to Canton and Canal Fulton in Stark County, Ohio, but not necessarily together. In 1847 in Summit County, Ohio, Ephraim married Mary Ann MARDER (September 23, 1825 - May 27, 1899). My big Brickwall is James H. HALL born in an unknown county in Maryland about 1812. He was married in Cincinnati in 1834. From his neighbors in the are he was living it is possible he was either from Somerset county or Hagerstown but I have nothing to prove this theory. Any help would be appreciated. If you have a James Hall born around 1812 please contact me. I'm also looking for the siblings of Levi HOUSTON son of John and Mary Milburn HOUSTON. He was born in Somerset county in 1750. My TAYLOR line is from a Bartholomew Taylor of Somerset County born about 1753 died in Bracken County KY. Thank you Rodney Hall [email protected]
