    2. Hi Elizabeth, My gggg grandfather's wife Sarah Offutt (d/o Nathniel Offutt and Sarah Magruder) was from Upper Marlboro, MD. As for the name Mattingly, I think that I have seen that name married into the Clarke / Clark line but not sure. When you mention the area's in Md., I really have no idea where this are as I live in Nevada. I was born and raised here. I should get an old map of Md. I suppose. I'm sure this would be of help! 3. Hi Mary Ellen: I am sure this is the Chapel that I am looking for. The family name John and Mary Fox listed in the 2nd District Baltimore Co. in 1850 Census. In 1860 & 1870 they are listed at the Little Gunpowder P. O. 11th District Balt. Co. Some of their children, Martha E. Fox, William O, Fox, Henry C. Fox were married in this Chapel (1882) and several of their grand- children were baptized there (1874-1886). I think some of them may have been buried at the Chapel. Also they had a child George, who was the Sup't of schools in Anne Arundel, and there is a school named for him on Mountain Rd. I am looking to add to my information. Thanks so much for your prompt response. 3. Waugh Chapel is located on Long Green Pike near Harford road in Baltimore County. The Gunpowder is a river. Loch Raven Reservoir is feed by the Gunpowder River. The Maryland St. Archives has micro film of some of the records of Waugh Church. Waugh today is a United Methodist Church. Greg Burton

    3. Thanks Kathleen Bowen! There is a Waugh Chapel in Anne Arundel County. It is a small town not far from Millersville and Gambrills. I lived in Crofton, just a few minutes away and I had a number of clasmates and friends from Waugh Chapel. It is just off U.S. Route 301. That part of Anne Arundel Co. is also just down the road form Prince Georges Co., near White Marsh, Collington, Bowie..... Now Gunpowder is not in AA or PG - so, Baltimore Co. sounds right for that......
