    2. Bill, There was and still is more than one St. Michael's in Baltimore. The Maryland State archives has records from many churches. Does the Baptismal certificate have an address or other description? I know that all records available for St. Michael the Archangel are on microfilm. The list below are the St. Michaels that are on microfilm at the archives. (the MSA is a reference #) You can go to their web site for more info www.mdarchives.state.md.us. Do you have their death certificates? That would be a good place to start. Are you in Maryland? A trip to the archives in Annapolis may be in order. Let me know if I can be of any help. 1. [MDGEN] Anderton Roll Call
    2. I'm still following the earliest Andertons of Ma, there appear to have been two lines who i have dubbed the Birchley Andertons of Maryland - the descendants of John Anderton of Dorchester Co. - and the Andertons of Talbot Co - the descendants of Peter Anderton of Fox Harbour. I found out two nights ago that John Anderton arrived in Virginia in 1651, sponsored or indentured to Mr Rowland Burnham, probably of Yorke Co. "Early Virginia Immigrants 1623-1666" by George Cabel Greer, Published by W.C. Hill Printing Co. 1912. This matches another reference I have to him being in Lancaster County Va on 17/11/1652, were he was a witness to a record. Nothing known about Peter Andertons arrival. Contact me if you want a copy of my work to date. Regards Alan Anderton Bargo NSW Australia
