I am researching the family of Jeremiah Lish. He had a son Joseph Lish (Losh) listed in the 1850 Census for Oakland Maryland and living in the residence of John and Mary Brobst. He is listed as being 25 and born in Germany. Also living in the same residence is Elizabeth Friend age 22 born in Maryland. Joseph married a woman named Elizabeth A. This is how she signed the court documents I have pulled from the Oakland Courthouse. I have discussed this with Pat Thompson and we could not connect Joseph with Elizabeth Friend. This past weekend I pulled the death certificate for their son Price Smith Lish. He was born August 29, 1867, in Maryland and married Emma White daughter of Jonathan White and Elizabeth Lower. Price died May 1944 at the age of 76 years, 8 months and 8 days. On his death certificate his father is listed as Joseph Lish born in Germany and his mother as Elizabeth Friend born in Maryland. His wife Emma supplied the information on the Death Certificate. Can anyone help me with the name of Elizabeth's parents? Mary King
