July 14, 1938 - The Republican Mrs. Richard Ream Death came Sunday to Mrs. Richard Ream, of Loch Lynn Heights, following a paralytic stroke at her home last Thursday morning. She was aged 74 years, the daughter of the late George and Anna Weise. She was a member of the United Brethren Church. She is survived by her husband, four sons, John W. Ream, of Loch Lynn; Charles W. Ream, Crellin, president of the Garrett National Bank in Oakland and the Stanley Coal Company; George Ream of Indiana, Pa.; and James R. Ream of Oakland. Two daughters also survive: Mrs. Anna M. Biggs, Loch Lynn; Mrs. Emma Gortner, Mazon, Ill.; and two sisters, Mrs. Anna R. Robinson, Cumberland; Mrs. Ida M. Glotfelty, McHenry. Funeral Services were held Tuesday afternoon in the United Brethren Church, Loch Lynn, with the Rev. Crites officiating assisted by Rev. Johnson. Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery. January 1, 1939 Mrs. John Ritchie Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Ritchie, wife of John Ritchie, Accident, were held this morning at 10 o'clock from Bolden's Funeral Home, Oakland, and the remains later taken to Eglon, W. Va., in charge of the Church of the Brethren minister. Interment was in the Maple Spring cemetery. Mrs. Ritchie died in the Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, where she had been a patient but a few days. She is survived by one son, Elmer, and one brother, John Wensell of Cumberland. She made her home with Mr. and Mrs. John Mellinger.
