Her husband John A. Hook died in Keyser, WV. of typhoid pneumonia on March 9, 1912. Flossie B. was not born yet. My father in law, Earl Clarence Hook, was only abt. 10 yrs. old. John A. Hook was buried at Hitchcock Tunnel in Garrett Co. (According to USGS--Hitchcock Tunnel is located near Kitzmiller) The Hooks always told me they were from the Swanton, Strecker Station area. Somewhere near where the train stopped to take water after the Bloomington 17 mile grade. According to Rebecca Florence Warnick Hooks Obit it says; Died; Feb. 2 1959 A native of Swanton, MD. daughter of the late William Clay Warnick and Mary Jane (Paugh) Warnick. Her husband John A. Hook preceded her in death. Survivers include; 2 sons; Harry D. Hook, (Clarence) Earl Hook, 3 dgtrs; Janet Hook Beckman (m: Arlie Beckman of Swanton), Mrs. Sadie Barnard (m: Charles Fram Barnard) Cumb. MD, Mrs Belle Stuckey Lavale MD. 2 brothers; William T. Warnick Swanton, Joseph H. Warnick, Pittsburg, PA. However, I cannot verify the identity of Rebecca's parents--Wm. Clay? Warnick & Mary Jane/Ann Paugh. Would like to know more of them and their parents. Thanks for any help & suggestions in sorting out this Warnick & Paugh family. Take Care Pat Hook
