Essie Ray Harshbarger was a sister to my grandfather Charles Leslie Harshbarger. Piedmont Herald, Wednesday, May 1, 1968 Services for Gladys Iona Harrison, 57, of 57 Howard Street, McCoole, who died Sunday in Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser, will be conducted today at 2 o'clock at the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser, by Rev. George Jeffries, pastor of the Church of the Brethren, Keyser. Interment will be in Potomac Valley Memorial Park. A native of Luke, she was a daughter of William Ferguson and the late Essie Ray (Harshbarger) Ferguson. She was a member of Trinity Methodist Church of Piedmont, a past president of the Bruce High PTA, McCoole Elementary School PTA, the McCoole Homemakers Club and was a member of the McCoole Volunteer Fire Company's Auxiliary. Survivors include her father and husband Jasper G. Harrison; three daughters, Mrs. Donald Clar Broadway, Va.; Mrs. Sandra Mullan, McCoole, and Mrs. Carol Bowers, Fort Ashby, and two sons, Ronald G. Ferguson, stationed with the Navy in Charleston, S. C. and Robert Harrison, Memphis, Tenn. Mrs. Nina Daniels, Westernport, is a sister and Donald Ferguson and Gerald Ferguson, of Westernport are brothers.
