    3. Carolyn - you are just a wonder at finding new things. I can never get old Wm McCrobie out of Maryland - so I wonder... Thanks for the good idea. I will report on any progress I make! War, I found this census interesting; especially since another of the surnames listed is Inloes. 2. Bonnie, Thanks for the boost to my morale! And-----did you ever explore southern Md. for Robey/Robe????? I know there were some early ones there. Our area got an influx of people from Charles Co., Md. in late 1700's----my Carrico being one of them; Duval was another southern Md'er. Look thru this url and see what you find: http://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/md/ Try Charles, Calvert, St. Marys, Pr. George and Statewide click ons. Also, Alice Proudfoot had a Robe/y in her family and since she was an active member of the Garrett DAR some of her material may be with their records. If you are not "local" I bet some of our List members will scout that out for you----when they have time ; ) Good Luck, Carolyn Bonnie McCroby Wuensche wrote: > Carolyn - you are just a wonder at finding new things. 3. You write: If you are not "local" I bet some of our List members will scout that out for you----when they have time ; ) Good Luck, Carolyn Bonnie: Me? Local? I live in "Wally World" - Bentonville, Arkansas - Home of the World's Largest Retailer - WAL*MART. Yep - they don't call us Arkies here - we are Wal-Martians! Thanks for the good advice. I have never seen any reason to think that Robey is part of the McCrobie Family - but others have suggested it too. So it's not totally out. I did look in NC - and low and behold - there was a Hugh McCroby - he was (various spellings) in at least the 1790 and 1800 - but I can't connect him in. Wow - I wish they would have had ages and names in those early records. But I filed it for another day. Thanks, Carolyn Bonnie
