    3. Piedmont Herald, Thursday, Sept. 26, 1963 Requiem high mass for Mrs. Catherine M. Peacock, 75, of Keyser, formerly of Luke, who died Monday morning in Potomac Valley Hospital as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident, was celebrated yesterday morning in the Church of the Assumption, Keyser. The Rev. Robert Ruth, assistant pastor, was celebrant of the mass. Burial took place in Philos Cemetery, Westernport. Serving as pallbearers were James Racco, Norris Munsie, Thomas McDonald, Bernard Rankin, Peter Johnston and John Stakem. Mrs. Peabody was injured about 7:25 p.m. Sunday when the car in which she was riding with her daughter, Mrs. Winnie P. Herbert, also of Keyser, collided on a sharp curve in McCoole with a car operated by William L. Zais, Jr., of McCoole. Investigating authorities said Zais, who was driving east bound, failed to keep to the right of the center of the highway on the curve and struck the left side of the oncoming Herbert vehicle. Born in Scotland, Mrs. Peacock was a daughter of the late John and Bridget Maguire. She had resided in Luke for many years before moving to Keyser about 14 years ago. Her husband, Frank Peacock, died in August 1938. In addition to Mrs. Herbert, Mrs. Peacock is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Christine Davis, of Piedmont, and one granddaughter, Miss Katherine Parker, also of Piedmont.
