Here is another McKenzie connection. Piedmont Herald, Wednesday, Aug. 23, 1967 Services for Leonard H. Meyers, 72, of Kolberg's Hill, Westernport, who died Monday at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser, will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the Boal Funeral Home. Rev. Connell Chaney will officiate. Interment will be in Philos Cemetery. Military Honors were accorded at the grave by Victory Post 155, American Legion. A native of Moscow, Mr. Myers was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Meyers. He was a retired employee of the Luke mill of W. Va. Pulp and Paper Co. His wife, Mrs. Ethel (Emerson) Myers, died July 2. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Katherine Duckworth, Baltimore, Mrs. Jean Monette, Owon Hill; Mrs. Eileen Bass, Seat Pleasant, and Mrs. Ruth McKenzie, Westernport; two brothers, Frank Meyers, Moscow, and Clarence Myers, Cumberland; three sisters; Mrs. Polly Harman, Baltimore, Mrs. Ruth Grove, Cumberland; Mrs. Dolly Lee, Lonaconing; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
