    3. I looked at the LDS records 1880 census - the only Rebecca Friend is married and 62 years old. There is no James TuHill - some variations in spelling (Toell, etc) - even in the 1880 census (with that exact spelling) born in MD There is, however, in the IGI: John Tuhill, marriage to a Mary Kennedy, 28 DEC 1853 , Allegany, Maryland Could be parents? -------Original Message------- From: MDGARRET-L@rootsweb.com Date: Tuesday, July 29, 2003 10:50:30 To: MDGARRET-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [MDGARRET] TUHILL - FRIEND - HASKILL Can anyone on the List tell me more about this family? I am trying to find the parents of Rebecca J. Friend. Thanks, Pat-T Industrial and Commercial Growth of Tunnelton, W. Va. "The Coal Center" by W. Scott Garner Tunnelton, W. Va. 1903 James O. 3. 1880 census - the only Rebecca Friend is married and 62 years old. ----- Bonnie, I think this Rebecca Friend (above) is probably the wife of Stephen Willis Friend. the marriage record (below) is for the parents of James O. Tuhill. John Tuhill, marriage to a Mary Kennedy, 28 DEC 1853 , Allegany, Maryland ---------------- Melinda, You wrote: could she be this Rebecca's daughter? I have a Rebecca Friend, born 17 Oct. 1805, to Elizabeth Ward and John L. Friend. This Rebecca, b. 1805, (I have Oct. 17, 1806) married John Johnson. I don't have children for this marriage but they would have been named Johnson. The Rebecca Friend who married James O. Tuhill was supposed to have been born about 1862. Thanks everyone for the help. Some more pieces of the puzzle are being found, and hopefully we will eventually identify Rebecca. Pat-T
