Piedmont Herald, Thursday, April 23, 1964 Mrs. Emma Broadwater, 87, of 64 West Harrison Street, Piedmont, died yesterday in Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser, where she underwent surgery Monday morning. She was the wife of Lee Broadwater. The body is at the Fredlock Funeral Home, Piedmont, where funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Sumner Sawyers, pastor of Trinity Methodist Church, Piedmont. Interment will take place in Philos Cemetery, Westernport. A daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Coleman, Mrs. Broadwater was a native of Garrett County but had resided here for many years. Twice married, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Daniel Gross. Mrs. Broadwater was a member of Trinity Methodist Church, of Piedmont, and the Daughters of America of Bloomington. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Coutts, Of Jewett, Ohio; two sons, Stanley Gross, of Meyersdale, Pa. and Austin Gross, of Jewett. Also surviving are two brothers, John Coleman, of Kitzmiller, and Harley Coleman, of Fort Ashby; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Domer, of Carnegie, Pa., and Mrs. Mae Iman of Kitzmiller. Ten grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren also survive.
