I have someone who wants to know where the old ghost town of Kempton got its name. Anyone out there have Schlossnagle's book on Garrett County? Or the book on ghost towns of Garrett County? Thanks, Connie History is preserved through knowledge shared
I have Ghost Towns of the Upper Potomac but it doesn't say anything about how it Kempton got its name. If interested in other Kempton information I recommend Gilbert Gude' book about growing up in Kempton. The book is Where the Potomac Begins A History of the North Branch Valley, published by Seven Locks Press, 1984. Alice > Anyone out there have Schlossnagle's book on Garrett County?
