Graves of Garrett Co., by DAR Buried at Sand Springs, west of Friendsville, MD Sines, Elijah, 1859-1940; buried beside Sevilla, Aug. 31, 1862- Aug. 18, 1936 ------- Buried at the Taylor Sines Cemetery, opposite of entrance to Swallow Falls State Park McRobie, Rachel Lewis, Jan. 2, 1848-Oct. 15, 1892
Shirely - Hmmm - have you been following this line of posts? I see they are attached.. I am surprised you would know her as Sevilla Sines. I have her married to Charles Edward McCrobie - and I thought that was a second mariage I had a DOB of abt 1863 - so it sure seems like the same one. Kathleen responded to my earlier post didn't have a Sevilla "Sines"... The Sevilla I am working on was born Rodeheaver, then married to Elijah Sines (who didn't die until 1940), then to Charles Mc - 21 Feb 1908, where her name on the marriage appears as Sevilla Rodeheaver Sines (according to another researcher). Because Rodeheaver is another of pedigree line, I couldn't determine if Rodeheaver was a maiden name or a middle name - I didn t have a father for her - although I have since discovered that. You say she is buried at Sands Spring? Is it possible she could be buried under a different name? This is strange. Is there a DOD with that DOB? I don't have a DOD for Charles... is it possible she remarried Elijah? The Sevilla Rodeheaver I have is the daughter of John Columbus Rodeheaver and Delilah Friend - so I would suspect she would be in the Friend Family Association...? Eeeekkk! I need to go slash my face with some cold water! -------Original Message------- From: MDGARRET-L@rootsweb.com Date: Wednesday, July 16, 2003 14:41:18 To: MDGARRET-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [MDGARRET] Sines - McCrobie (Rodeheaver + Friend) Bonnie I don't know if we are talking about the same Sevilla m. to Elijah Sines from GC (Friendsville) lived on Teets Rd. but she is buried at Sand Spring Cemetery and DOB says Aug 31, 1862. Bonnie Yes I have been following everything on the web and making files because everyone coming in here does not have a computer or if they do are not on line. The reason this seems so familiar but don't know anything about the family, never looked it up, my son & I live on the place where the ones buried at Sand Spring once lived, then I think John or Charles Burch lived there when my in laws bought it, then my husband & I bought it in the 60's and now my son has it. My grandfather & dad remembered going there with the lantern at night and visiting. Sorry, just a little tidbit to ease your cold water splashes.
