Hi Don, Yes, I know. The two names are so close phonetically but so far as I can tell, there are no Kifer nor Keefers in my lineage. I also have a Paugh in my Slabaugh family. Haven't done much research on those surnames yet either. Have just bits and pieces of information at this point. I don't know if I have enough years left to find out about all my surnames :-) Lois
