Yes, I think that is our Nicholas and in a family book that I have (dated 1828 and is all hand written along with some beautiful color art work) it has his name spelled MOUSER. But he bought land at Selbysport, Allegheny Co., MD in 1803 and is on the Allegheny tax list in 1804 so I think that the WV book has the time frame incorrect. He and his family are also in the 1810 census. Since his farm was very near the WV border and a permanent line had not been set yet I think maybe they thought they were part of WV, and I have never found the 1803 original deed just mention of it when the land was divided among his children in 1826. Maybe that deed is located in VA. I must carry that thought further. Again thanks for all your help, cuz!!
