Piedmont Herald, Wednesday, Oct. 1, 1969 Services for Lornza C. Lambert, 87, of 253 Main Street extended, Westernport, who died Saturday in Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, where he had been a patient five days, were conducted Monday at 1 p.m. at the Boal funeral Home, Westernport. Rev. Robert Strickler, pastor of the Church of the Brethren, Westernport, officiated. Interment was in Philos Cemetery, Westernport. Pallbearers were Sanford Welton, William Hanna, Frank Welsh, Lacy Tinsley, Eugene Paxton, Gary Huffman, Gary Cheshire and Paul Barclay. Born in Augusta, W. Va., Mr. Lambert was the son of the late Benjamin S. and Gracie (Lambert) Lambert. He was a retired farmer and former commissioner of the Town of Westernport. A member of the church of the Brethren, he was a former trustee of the church. Twice married, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Nellie (Murphy) Lambert. Surviving are his second wife, Irene (Paugh) Lambert; three sons Calvin Lambert, Piedmont, and Lester and Roy Lambert, both of Westernport; three daughters, Mrs. Pearl Tinsley, Westernport; Mrs. Viola Coddongton, LaVale, and Mrs. Ellsworth Boal, Westernport; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Carl Hoffman, Cumberland; 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
