Hi Helen, I used this book often (at my FHC) when I was first starting my research overseas. It is a good reference book and will tell you how to get started, where to write, etc. Another good place to go on the web is: http://www.irelandgenweb.org (WorldGenWeb for Ireland) http://www.englandgenweb.org (same) and then http://www.genuki.co.uk (England based research project, notably the best, covers the British Isles and Ireland) -- Best Wishes, Carol Hepburn chepburn@cox.net Phoenix, AZ USA "Warm and sunny, as usual!"
Thanks for the info on this book, Carol, guess I will go ahead and get it. It's real cheap anyway for a used one. Less than $5.00. Do you have any suggestions for finding family in Ireland? I will try this website that you passed on to me. We went there in June but with nothing besides my GGGrandparents names, it was hopeless finding records. All the records I have sent for just has that they were from Ireland. Thanks again, Helen Rehm ----- Original Message ----- From: "Carol Hepburn" <chepburn@cox.net> To: <MDGARRET-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, September 03, 2003 10:19 AM Subject: Re: [MDGARRET] book > Hi Helen, > > I used this book often (at my FHC) when I was first starting my research > overseas.
