Jacobs Lutheran Cemetery Jacobs Lutheran Cemetry is Located in Exmoor along Pennsylvania Route 443, west of Pine Grove Boro, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. It is the second oldest church in Schuylkill County, organized by the Rev. William Kurtz in the year 1780. The records of the first 19 years are missing. The records of baptisms and communicants date back only to the year 1799 and burial records to 1804. The cemetery listing is a compilation of several sources. I recorded all of the new section in October 1999. When I found many tombstones written in German or illegible, I consutled the Cemetries of the Pine Grove Area compiled by Cherly Fidler Schneck, Audrey Fenstermacher Boers and Suzanned Coover Blain, September 4, 1982. They consulted a record of the cemetery compiled in May of 1941 by Claude W. Unger and William H. Dietrich. Some tombstones were badly worn or destroyed. Those records are indicated with * before the name. Variations of spellings may occur.
