Garrett Journal, May 20, 1909 Mrs. James Lamb died at Selbysport this county, Sunday May 9th. She was 77 years and 7 months and was a native of Hamilton, Lanarkshire, Scotland, and came to this country with her husband in 1852. The Lambs lived in New York city two years, from whence they moved to Pekin, Allegany county about the year 1847, where David Lamb died about 20 years ago. Mrs. Lamb went to live with her daughter, Mrs. John PLASKETT, Selbysport, last October. She leaves two sons and five daughters, John of Monetta, Nebraska, and David of Lonaconing; Mrs. John Plaskett, of Selbysport, Mrs. John TANGYE, of Mulberry Kansas; Mrs. W. H. FREELAND, of Cumberland, MD: Mrs. John ) O'NIEL, of Walkersville, Montana; and Mrs. Robert KING, of Pekin. She is survived by one brother, William TAYLOR, of Carlton Place Ontario, Canada, fifteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. David Lamb, her husband, was a member of Company A, 2 MD. Vols., and served three years, from 1861 to 1864. She was a member of the M. E. Church. The funeral took place from the residence of her son, David Lamb, in Lonaconing, interment was made in the old cemetery at Moscow.
