I have three records of a Lawrence Sellers, born about the same time, that I can't reconcile; thought someone on the list might be able to help. One I found in the household of Jacob E. and Susan (Brown) Bowser in the 1900 census listed as a "G Son" "Sellers, Larence", "G Son", WM age 4, born May, 1896, born in PA, Father born in PA, Mother born in MD, did not attend school. * As far as is known, no daughter of Jacob or Susan (Brown) Bowser married a Sellers. Jacob _did have a 1st cousin, Harriet who married William Edward Sellers in 1890. They had a son Lawrence Frederick. He is supposed to be buried at the Bowser Burial Grounds in Addison Twp., Somerset County. The Poorbaugh Family History says he was born 3/26/1895 and was killed in action in W.W. I. His stone reads: "SELLERS L. Frederick 1894-1918 Pvt Co D 3rd Inf. AEF" *Note birth year on stone taken by me in mid 1990's does not agree with his birth record at Somerset County Courthouse. So possibly, the "Larence Bowser" in the Jacob E. & Susan Bowser household in 1900 could have been incorrectly marked "G Son"; when he should have been marked a nephew. Then there is this 1930 census record- 1930 Federal census, MD, Garrett County, Election District 2, Excluding the Friendsville Borough, Enumeration District 12-3. Sheet 11A, Page 27A, Ancestry.com Image 21 of 26 for District 2, taken April 22-23. All ages given at last birthday. Dwelling 209, Family 214. Possibly the Blooming Rose area. Children all born in MD. "Sellers, Lawrence", Head, Rents his home at $100 per month, family lives on a farm, WM age 35 (1895), first married when 23 years of age (1918), born in PA, Father born in PA, Mother born in MD, Laborer, Lumber woodsman, not actually at work last working day, Unemployment Schedule # 18, non veteran. "Ellen C.", Wife of Head, WF age 33 (1897), first married when 19 years of age (1916), she & both parents born in MD. "Helen", Daughter, WF age 12 (1918), attended school.
