I agree with Mary here. CD's should be around for a long time. I work in a photo lab. Just in the last week we have gotten new software on a couple of our machines. We can now burn CDs from digital media. According to the Kodak Co. and Pixel Magic (Which is a company that deals with making software for machinery to copy pictures from multi-media), the picture CDs are designed to last between fifty and one hundred years. So, I would think the technology would be around to read them for a long time. Plus, the new DVD players are coming with being able to read picture CDs made with the Kodak software.
