Great advice Mary. I purchased a digital camera in April of this year. I managed to take about 200 photos. It broke two days before the end of our vacation in September. Thank goodness it lasted until we could download the photos into our computer. We purchased the Kodak 4.0 mega pixel camera w/zoom etc. online through Cosco. Came with paper, docking station, a memory stick, and carrying case. We returned all to Cosco and got all of our money back. They erased the photos off of the memory that we weren't able to do. Gave us all of our money back. We turned right around and purchased a similar Kodak camera (5 mega pixal, zoom, etc.) for $50 or more less!!! So we are off and running again! The camera takes great photos . . . the ones taken outside are beautiful. I'm not too happy about the pictures taken inside however. Lots of red in them. I haven't had time to experiment with the tools with the photos yet . . . also have to see if I can now salvage them into TIF format and save them to a CD before something else goes kaput. On those indoor shots, are you using the flash? Sometimes there is plenty of light anyway, and while it will take the picture, remember it is incandescent and not a true light, like outdoors. You might look into a filter, too. These attachments are not expensive and a filter that screws on can protect your lens when the cap or cover is not on. Try going to a regular photo shop and talking to them about accessories. If the picture was good to start with, there is little need for photo editing other than cropping. -------Original Message------- From: MDGARRET-L@rootsweb.com Date: Friday, November 14, 2003 15:45:01 To: MDGARRET-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [MDGARRET] CD STORAGE Great advice Mary.
