Hi Kathleen, You are mixed up in your info on William Henry Harrison Friend lineage - or I should say Joseph Edward Friend. (This was my father-in-law.) Joseph Edward Friend born June 18,1883 died June 18, 1952, buried in Friend Cemetery,Turkeyneck Rd. Garrett Co. MD. Married on July 3, 1907 at Shady Grove, Fayette Co. PA to Helen Taylor Yeardley b. 26 Dec. 1884 in Braceville IL Died 17 Feb.1958 in Hagerstown, MD at home of her daughter. Buried at Friend Cemetery Turkeyneck Road Garrett Co. MD. Helen (known sometimes as Nellie) was daughter of Ralph Yeardley and Catherine Taylor Yeardley. To this union were 8 children, of which my husband is the youngest. Joseph Edward was only married the one time. Ed was next to youngest his sister Mary Etta being born after his father had died. She was born in Sept. 1885 and he died 21 Feb. 1885. I would have preferred to send this to you privately, but since is was incorrect on the list, thought it better this way. Hi Betty, Thanks so much for the correction and additional data for my Friend files! It appears that I had attached Alice "Allie" VanSickle to 1883 Joseph Edward Friend when in fact she was married to 1869 Joseph S. Friend (s/o Reese Edward Friend & Sarah Ann Twigg)! Considering Joseph Edward's birth year.....it does make him a bit young to have married in 1893! Mercy...what was I thinking!?! Can't believe I didn't catch the date clues before.
