Piedmont Herald, Thursday, May 28, 1964 Funeral services for Sheriff D. Tranum, 59, of Franklin, who died yesterday in Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport. The Rev. LeRoy Imperio will conduct the service after which interment will take place in Philos Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by members of Victory Post 155, American Legion, of Westernport. A native and life long resident of Franklin, Mr. Tranum was a son of the late Jefferson and Mary (McManus) Tranum. He had been a patient in the hospital for two days prior to his death. Mr. Tranum was a veteran of World War II and held membership in Victory Post 155. An employee of the Luke mill of West Virginia Pulp and Paper, he was a member of Luke Local 676, UPP. Survivors include a brother, Clyde Tranum, of Beryl; three sisters, Mrs. Sarah Smith and Mrs. Bessie Foutz, both of Barton, and Mrs. Mary Cercio, of New Jersey.
