I am looking for information pertaining to the Shawnees at the mouth of the Youghiogheny River. I keep being referred to the present day Youghiogheny River Band of Shawnee. But they are not what I am looking. I am looking for the historical information concerning the Shawnee at the mouth of the Youghiogheny River. Where were they before there were in Md? When did they arrive in Md? How long were they in Md? Why did they leave? Where did they go from there? Are there any local history references naming the tribe? The work and subsequent report were both supported by the University of Maryland. Not sure they have any more books but the library in Grantsville, MD has a copy of it that you can sit and read in there. Connie
