    1. [MDGARRET] route
    2. Seems as if everyone is mixed up as to where the roads are in Garrett County. Our route last Tuesday brought us onto Upper New Germany Road (this continues past New Germany State Park), took a left at Twin Churches Road, (many ancestors are buried in both cemeteries), and followed it to the intersection with Lower New Germany Road, both road names end here. Although we are on the same road as Twin Churches, the name changes to the Westernport Road which continues to there. Savage River Road takes a right in Merrill from the Westernport Road and continues to Bloomington and the distance is approximately 20 miles. Not bad on a foggy drizzly day and we didn't see any "Maryland wildlife". Doret

    3. Doret. You brought back fond memories for me when you mentioned the Twin Churches! I remember family reunions there with the Sisler's, Casteel's and others. Does anyone have a photograph of the Churches?
