Henry Spitznas, Jr., Ormand St., about 5 months ago, found a coin on the site of the Braddock Road near St. John's Rock (near Finzel), which he has good reason to believe it is over 2,000 years old. It is of brass metal, Egyptian Coinage, about as large as a half dollar and carries on one side medallions of the sphinx, pyramids and rising Sun, and on the other side a bust of one of the pharohs. Mr. Spitznas will doubtless submit the coin to the investigation of numismatics to accertain its value. {If any of you know about the outcome here, let us know.} 2. Mrs. Wm. Parker: This most estimable lady died at the family home in Eckhart early Saturday morning, Jan. 30th, after 2 weeks illness of paralysis resulting from a fall. Mrs. Parker was the widow of Wm. Parker, Sr., in his day a prominent merchant of Eckhart. He died about 5 years ago. Two daughters and 2 sons are berieved, Mss Fanny & Drucilla of Eckhart, and Msrs Stanley and Norton Parker of Pittsburgh, PA Mrs, Parker's maiden name was Porter, one of the pioneer families of this section, and she enjoyed the additional distinction of being 1 of 21 children, of whom but 2 are now living: Mrs. Justus Rephorn of Eckhart and Mr. Josiah Porter of Cumberland. That's all I had time to copy by hand. I was working at the Frostburg Museum. There was only the one page there. We did have visitors who came from Tasmania to visit their son and see that he got a dorm room at Frostburg State University. We had a good time all afternoon. Connie
