    1. [MDGARRET] Graphics Programs Question
    2. Alice Eary
    3. Can anyone tell me how to change the color of a selection within a picture? I can select it with the magic wand, but do not know how to get it to change the color. I use both Microsoft Picture It and Adobe Photoshop. Saw it done once in Adobe, but can't remember how. Appreciate any help you might be able to give me. Alice

    3. In Photoshop after selecting the area you want to change, go to Layer, New Adjustment Layer, Hue/Saturation. Or you can add a new, blank layer behind the background, fill it with the color you want your selection to be select color as the type of layer, adjust the fill and opacity to get the amount and saturation of color you want. You can get some cool effects using a gradient color. I am assuming you have full-fledged Photoshop (not Elements or something like that) and have an understanding of working with layers. After color change is made, flatten image. Just fill the selection with color straight on will give you a strange look to the selection - not a natural look.
