Lois, I found him in Eckserdorf (south west of Bayreuth) I had looked for a ship passenger list several times. But I was using the soundex. I finally looked at ALL of the list for Baltimore in 1854 - BINGO! We really weren't sure what year he came but had narrowed it down to 1854. Let me know how you're doing with your research.
