    3. Hi there, Well, the one address ([email protected]) was wrong because of the "-", but right now we're in a grace period where either [email protected] OR [email protected] should work. I would bet you dimes to donuts the basic problem has to do with your AOL address and/or the recent "migration" of the list to the new mailing system. Many of the problems are way too complicated to explain here but AOL users seem to be having more then their share. Rootsweb is currently trying to switch over nearly 29,000 lists to a new up-dated mailing system and they are swamped with problems to sort out every time a new batch of lists roll over. . Originally Rootsweb thought this switch would only take a little over a week to wrap up...that was several weeks ago. They now think it will take another week or two to finish the last of the lists and even longer to get all the wrinkles ironed out. List Admins were given a 22 page tutorial to wade through to prepare them for this migration (which should tell you something) there are new settings that they must now figure out with plus more list chores to do. . [BTW...The number of lists being put up for adoption has really increased since the migration began so I think we should applaud Sonny for sticking with us!] . I'm sure that Sonny is feverishly trying to fine tune things at his end and is working with Rootsweb to get things fine tuned for the list at their end. I think the best thing that we as list members can do during the coming weeks is to report any problems we have getting or sending posts to Sonny and then be VERY patient. . Remember...this too shall pass! Bye for now, Kathleen

    3. As I posted before I would surely check AOL. I would notify them that you messages are bouncing. It wouldn't take much for them to fix it.

    3. AOL users (and anyone else with a "problem" ISP) have to check their spam folders and click THIS IS NOT SPAM to train their email to accept the new Rootsweb email. RW has worked with AOL, after stopping the list migration in midstream because of all the bouncing, to get them to accept the new system and things should be okay now. I manage several lists and none of my AOL folks have bounced off during this process so I'm hoping that's a good sign. But, really train your email to understand this is emial you want - check that spam folder. 2. I can receive all the emails from the list. I am unable to send emails to the list. ( I always check my spam folder regularly. You 'd be surprised what you find there sometimes.) Possibly you were addressing another person's problems with your suggestions. Thanks anyway, Nancy -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Sent: Sun, 10 Sep 2006 12:35 PM Subject: Re: [MDGARRET] Bounce Problems + AOL AOL users (and anyone else with a "problem" ISP) have to check their spam folders and click THIS IS NOT SPAM to train their email to accept the new Rootsweb email. 2. Thanks, that is very insightful and encouraging.
