    2. :-) Oh, yes!! There seems to be at least three of them in the tri-boarder area, about the right time frame. Unfortunately, other than a Maryland Equity Court Case, I haven't found any other clues as to who he is. I will say most of my research has been on the Kemps, and I have done almost none on the Casteel. I believe Mary Kemp was born ca. 1814, Addison, but it could be a few years earlier. I've been juggling the last few children of her parents family, and I don't have enough information to definitively pin down the years of birth. A number of the children from this family moved west, and that maybe what happened here. Opps, thanks, yes it must be a few years earlier.
