    3. Cumberland Evening Times, 11 Oct 1944:  Luther G. Dayton: Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Ferguson Funeral Home, Detroit, Mich., for Luther G. Dayton, 53, brother of Norris Dayton of 215 Green street who died at his home, 1004 Dragoon street, Detroit, yesterday morning.  He had been ill with pneumonia only 12  hours preceding his death. Mr. Dayton, a native of Westernport, and son of the late Landon G. and Mary Louise Dayton was a veteran of the First World War, serving overseas 18 months with the infantry. He was employed at the Luke paper mill until 1922 when he left to work in the General Motors plant. Besides his widow, Mrs. Mary (Jones) Dayton, he is survived by two children, Raymond with the Army in Oklahoma, and Mary Jo at home; another brother John Day ton, Bridgeport, W.Va., and three sisters, Mrs. Esther Fleek, Keyser, West Va.; Mrs Irene Fike, Homestead, Pa; and Mrs. Ralph Veter, Washington, D.C.
