    3. Daily Courier Connellsville, PA April 24, 1965 Mrs. Myles Gibbs Mrs. Mildred Catherine Gibbs, 40, of Markleysburg, died at 9:30 p.m. Thursday in University Hospital, Morgantown, WV. She was born April 30, 1924, in Uniontown, a daughter of Mrs. Elizabeth Hinebaugh Fike and the late Jasper Fike. Surviving are her husband, Myles; her mother; four daughters, Mrs. Beverly Fike of Markleysburg and Pamela, Elaine and Tina at home; tow sons, Myles, Jr., and Terry at home; a sister, Mrs. Lorna James of Markleysburg; a half-sister; six brothers, including Russell, Arnold and Eugene Fike of Markleysburg, and two half-brothers, including Everett Fike of Grindstone. The body is at the Williams Funeral Home, Markleysburg, and will be at the Gospel Center Church from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday, the hour of the funeral service. The Rev. Charles MacNevin will officiate. Burial will be in Thomas Cemetery. The Daily Courier Connellsville, PA May 25, 1950 Jasper Fike, 68, of Markleysburg, died in Uniontown Hospital Tuesday night. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Fike, and 11 children, including Everett of Grindstone and Russell, Mrs. Lorna James, Arnold, Mrs. Miles Gibbs and Willard of Markleysburg. The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Markleysburg Church of God with interment in the Fike Cemetery, Asher Glade, MD. Daily Courier Connellsville, PA Aug 3, 1968 Mrs. Elizabeth Mae Fike, 76, of Markleysburg, died Thursday at her home. She was a member of the Gospel Center Church of Markleysburg. Surviving are here daughter, Mrs. Lorna James of Markleysburg; six sons, including Eugene, Arnold, and Russell of Markleysburg, three step children including Ralph and Everett of Grindstone, 41 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and two half-sisters. The Daily Courier Connellsville, PA Oct 10, 1946 Word has been received of the promotion of Willard C. Fike, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Fike of Markleysburg, to the grade of sergeant. He is serving with the Air Transport Command of the Army Air Force on Terceira Island in the Azores. The Weekly Courier Connellsville, PA Nov 18, 1920 Birthday Party for Wagner Marks Cottage Closing Jean's Delight, at Guard, MD, the summer home of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Wagner, which has been the scene of many pleasant social gatherings during the summer, was closed for the season Thursday night with an elaborate banquet given in honor of the birthday of Mr. Wagner. It was one of the happiest gathering of the season at the popular cottage. In behalf of the guests C. H. Balsley presented Mr. Wagner with a camera. The guests included Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Miller, of Dixonville, George Cochran and C. H. Balsley of Connellsville, Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Fike and daughter, Mansfield Heinbaugh, Abram Guard and Percey Savage, all of Guard.
