In Memoriam Died, at her late residence in this county, on the 8th inst., Emily Wilson, wife of Daniel Wilson, aged about 34 years. The deceased was a worthy and exemplary Christian, an affectionate mother, and esteemed and respected by all who knew her. Her last illness was long and severe, but she was sustained and kept by that faith that cheers a dying hour. A short time before her death she remarked to her mother, who was watching by her bedside, that she had prayed to live for the sake of her husband and children, but if it was God's will to take her now she was ready. The unexpected midnight cry found her prepared. Realizing the presence of him who said "My grace shall be sufficient for thee," and walking in the light which that grace alone supplies, she went down into the Valley of the Shadow of Death fearing no evil. On the 9th inst.. her mortal remains were followed to the family burying ground by a large concourse of friends and relatives, where they were committed to the safe keeping of the tomb, there to await the resurrection of the just. Recognizing in this (to us) mysterious dispensation of Providence, the chastening hand of God, we bow in humble submission to the Devine decree, and commit to the care and keeping of him who never slumbers nor sleeps, her bereaved companion and helpless children.
