Dear Peter Kilcullen, German records report that George Fazenbaker was missing from the Hessian troops by April 1781. It is not clear whether he was captured by the Americans or if he deserted. I am not aware of any evidence that shows that he affiliated with the Revolutionaries. Of George's nine children, the eldest, Jacob Fazenbaker, married a daughter of an American Revolutionary War veteran, Daniel Reckner. Thus, all of Jacob's female descendants should be eligible for the DAR. Among George's other children, there may also be connections to veterans of the American side of the War, although I have not thoroughly researched this possibility. Have any of his descendants ever successfully applied to Sons or Daughters of the American Revolution on the basis of being his descendant? Any information substantiating his service in Washington's army would be appreciated. Peter Kilcullen ====================================== Looking for your Garrett County ancestors?
