I have studied the Hessian soldier George Fazenbaker and his descendants. I have not found any records or contemporaneous accounts that showed that he joined the American side of the Revolutionary War effort. We know that he was a Hessian soldier whose service to King George III had ended by April 1781. We know that he had a family and was settled in westernmost Maryland by 1787.
