Have any of his descendants ever successfully applied to Sons or Daughters of the American Revolution on the basis of being his descendant?  Any information substantiating his service in Washington's army would be appreciated. 3. I have studied the Hessian soldier George Fazenbaker and his descendants. I have not found any records or contemporaneous accounts that showed that he joined the American side of the Revolutionary War effort. We know that he was a Hessian soldier whose service to King George III had ended by April 1781. We know that he had a family and was settled in westernmost Maryland by 1787.
