    3. I'm trying to locate information on my uncle, Everett (Hank) Stanford, who was also known as Hank the Cowhand.  He was a DJ on WMSG radio and had a rockabilly band and recorded a few records.  He was living in Oakland when he died in 1986 just shortly after completing a show at the county fair in Petersburg.  I understand his funeral was broadcast on the radio station.  Does anyone have any information....an obituary, a newspaper article, photograph, a memory or anything?  I would be very grateful if you would share with me. Kay Stanford McCowen

    3. Alice, thank you SO much for this obituary.  I cannot tell you how much I appreciate it.  My dad and all his brothers and sisters all are deceased now, and at a family renunion a few weeks back, we discovered that no one had recorded anything on Hank's death.  We didn't even know where he was buried.  I'm so grateful that there are still people in the world who are willing to share and help others.    Thanks again,   Kay McCowen Weatherford, TX --- On Thu, 11/5/09, Alice Eary <alice@eary.net> wrote: From: Alice Eary <alice@eary.net> Subject: [MDGARRET] Everett Stanford (Hank The Cowhand) To: mdgarret@rootsweb.com Date: Thursday, November 5, 2009, 2:08 PM Here is a copy of an obit which was most likely from The Republican newspaper.  Unfortunately, no date other than 1966 was available.
