LINCOLN, Maine - Verna Elizabeth Junkins, age 79, of Lincoln, formerly of Deer Park, Md., died on Monday at the home of her son in Lincoln. She was born Aug. 17, 1919, in Altamont, Md., and was a daughter of the late George F. Comp and Martha (Jackson) Comp. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James W. Junkins, in 1985. Surviving are two sons, Bill Junkins and his wife, Judy, with whom she resided in Lincoln, James Junkins, Monterey, Calif.; one daughter Tammy Dixon and her husband Darrell, Akron, Ohio; one brother, George F. Comp Jr., Deer Park; and seven grandchildren. Friends may call at the Durst Funeral Home, Oakland, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Fr.
