Mrs. Catherine Adeline Burch of Rock Forge died yesterday at her home. She was 65 years of age and the wife of John W. Burch who survives. A native of Preston County, she was born Feb 5, 1896, a daughter of Milbert and Sarah E. Uphold Casteel. She attended the Rock Forge Presbyterian Church. Survivors in addition to her husband are one daughter, Mrs. Clarence (Grace) Keener of Rt. 7, Morgantown; three sons, Milbert Burch of Westover, Foster Burch of Morgantown, and Roy Burch of California; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Myers of Morgantown, Mrs. Mazura Burch of Hildebrand and Mrs. Cora Faulkner of Friendsville, MD; two brothers, Joe Casteel of Rock Forge and Alva Casteel of Brandonville; 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. One son preceded her in death. Friends may call at the residence after 2 p.m. today and services will be held at the Rock Forge Presbyterian Church Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Ichiro Matsuda officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant Hills Cemetery. The Hasting Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In 1860 census he was in Bracken County KY but later moved to Maryland.. His first wife was a Mrs. Keithly and the 2nd wife was Margaret Casteel..they were possibly married in Maryland. He is believed to be the father of John Allen Burch (1861-1931) who married Amanda Casteel.... and John Allen Burch had a son named John Wesley Burch (1890-1979) who married Adaline Casteel.
