DEATH OF EX-SHERIFF CASTEEL The Demise Occurred Last Friday of Typhoid Fever Ex-Sheriff Edward Nathan Casteel, son of the late Meshech Casteel, of near Hoyes, this county, died at his home last Friday afternoon at one o'clock of typhoid fever after an illness of four weeks. The deceased was 44 years of age and was born in Garrett County. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church and was buried Sunday on the Truman W. Casteel farm near Sang Run after services were conducted by Rev. Henry E. Friend. The deceased married a number of years ago Miss Ella, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius Savage, to which union ten children were born, eight of whom with the mother survive. Mr. Casteel was Deputy Sheriff under ex-sheriff E. E. Sollars and succeeded him in that office for a term of two years. After his retirement from his duties he removed to his farm in District No. 6 and resumed agricultural pursuits which he followed until the date of his last illness.
