Sorry I missed your Harry Murphy obituary and am late responding. His wife was Leota Susan Kight b 1 Nov 1900 at Cross, WV. She was the d/o Charles G. Kight (1858-1934) and Sarah Matilda Daniels (1857-1943). Leota married Harry Allen Murphy (1893-1969) in Mineral Co., WV 5 Dec. 1934. She died Dec. 1981 in a Nursing Home in Michigan. My grandfather, William Benjamin Daniels (1867-1946), was a half-brother of Sarah Matilda Daniels Kight. Sarah Matilda Daniels was the d/o Daniel Jacob Daniels (1833-1892) and his first wife, Christiana Fleek (1832-1866), d/o Henry & Rebecca Fleek. My grandfather was the s/o Daniel Jacob Daniels and his 2nd wife, Mary Eva Randall (1848-1871). When Mary Randall Daniels died, Sarah Matilda was 9 yrs old and was a "little mother" to her young half brother. There was a lifelong affection between the two and my grandfather had a picture of Sarah Matilda in his wallet when he died. There is some question as to the middle name of Charles G. Kight. I have never found a document which gives his middle name. A grandson, told me his name was Gilbert. A granddaughter told me his name was Gaver. Another researcher grandson said his name was Ganes. A family Bible may have the answer but I have never had access to a Bible. Will be looking foward to hearing of your relationship and/or interest. In the meantime, HAPPY NEW YEAR.
