The Cumberland Evening Times, 25 July 1952: Oakland - Mrs Sadie Rhodes 80, was found dead in bed at her home in North Glade Wednesday morning.  She was the widow of Stephen Rhodes. Mrs. Rhodes was born near Thayersville, Sept 16, 1871, and was a daughter of the late Mrs. and Mrs Silas Walters.  She was a member of the Pentecostal Church, Glendale. Surviving are two sons, Robert Rhodes, Swanton; Ross Rhodes, Detroit; two daughters, Mrs. Ethel Smith;, Miss Lillian Smith,Washington. Two sister, Mrs. Emma Rhodes, Deer park; Mrs. Fannie Harvey, Cumberland seven grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. Service will be conducted at the North Glade Church, Sunday at 2 P.M. (EST) with Rev. Carroll Skipper, officiation.  Interment will be in North Glade Cemetery. Lee Deetz Fasnacht
