    3. Maria, I never heard of it, however, it sounds like a great way to share information.  Some of the widely advertised genealogy websites are rather expensive.  I for one would be will to share whatever information I have gathered over the years to others. Let me know if you find out anything on the Quest Project. Best regards, Barb (re:  Custer, Friend, DeWitt, Hicks are a few of mine from the MD area) --- On Sat, 8/29/09, Maria Brower <mbrower@nccn.net> wrote: From: Maria Brower <mbrower@nccn.net> Subject: [MDGARRET] McKenzie Quest Project To: MDGARRET@rootsweb.com Date: Saturday, August 29, 2009, 10:38 PM Can anyone that was involved with the McKenzie Quest Project, those of us who had early ancestors from Allegany and Garrett counties tell me if the project went defunct? It was going strong around 1989-99 and just beyond.  We all sent our family information to one person as a clearing-house and point-person. I've tried to find something doing an Internet search but had no success. I sure would like to get this going again. We had hoped that by pooling our family information and sources we could overcome our brickwalls. Maria E. Brower, CA ====================================== Looking for your Garrett County ancestors?
