    3.  Frederick Post, Frederick, Maryland, Nov 18. 1925:  Josephus Reckner, who served in the Union Army in the Civil War died at Soldiers Home, Dayton, Ohio, aged one hundred and six days.  He was born at the old Reckner home on Dan's Mountain in Allegany County. He enlisted in Company B, Third Maryland Infantry in December 1861.  At Fair Oaks he was shot through the leg, and after spending some time in the hospital, was furloughed.  He rejoined his regiment at Frederick when he recovered.  He was captured at Charles Town, WVA shortly before the war closed.  He was later released and was honorably discharged in Baltimore.  Two sons and two daughters survive. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
