Cumberland Evening Times, Thursday, April 30, 1908. Mrs. Kate A. Deetz, wife of J. Wesley Deetz of the Cumberland Furniture Co., died at 7:30 O'clock. Deceased had been a sufferer for several years, and this with her advancing age brought on gradual dissolution. Mrs Deetz was 76 years of age and born in Washington County, her maiden name being Miss Catron, her father being Robert Catron, who resided in this city and engaged in business prior to the war between the states. In her early childhood she united herself with the Methodist Episcopal Church and was a regular attendant to the Centre Street church of that denomination for over fifty years and in every respect a kind and charitable woman. She is survived by her husband and three sons, Charles C., Robert R., William R., and one daughter, Miss Annie Deetz, all living in this city. The funeral will occur Saturday afternoon at 3 O'clock with interment in Rose Hill Cemetery.
